Recommended use Bay / spot Workshop corner 1-car garage Large garage Workshop / detailing 2-car garage / detailing

Indicative areas for intense task lighting (detailing / workshop). Beyond one panel, combine several identical kits (example: 430 sq ft / 40 m² = 2 × Kit 14). The calculator gives the exact number based on your area, use and ceiling height.

01

What is hexagonal LED lighting?

A modular system of LED bars assembled into a honeycomb structure, designed for high-intensity main lighting. Each module is independent and connects to the others through dedicated joints — you adapt the geometry to any space, from a single bay to a large floor.

120 lm/W

Where a standard LED panel tops out at 80–100 lm/W. At equal power, more lux on the floor and better uniformity, with no extra fixtures.

Cool white 6500 K

Boosts contrast and detail perception: ideal for the workshop, bodywork, detailing and the showroom.

Wide spread

A wide beam angle makes the light from neighboring modules overlap: shadows shrink and the light becomes more even.

02

How many hexagons for my space?

We size by area and by use, not by watts alone. Rule of thumb: about 1 hexagon per 16 sq ft (1.5 m²) for task lighting. Beyond one panel, combine several identical kits.

Space
Area

Replacing your current lighting

T8 fluorescent tubes, sodium or metal halide: switching to hexagonal LED lighting works on your existing lighting circuit (120V AC / 60Hz, US version). Sizing must be matched to the total power of the installation.

Technology replaced
Estimated output
Equivalent kit
10 × T8 58 W tubes
~50,000 lm
Kit 11 (56,760 lm)
250 W sodium
~28,000 lm
Kit 5 / Kit 8
400 W metal halide
~36,000 lm
Kit 8 (41,280 lm)

Indicative method: total installed output ÷ 120 lm/W = equivalent LED power. The result should then be adjusted for the area, the use of the room and the ceiling height.

Installation & electrical

Suitable power supply

The number of kits you can connect to one circuit depends on their combined power, the conductor cross-section and the circuit protection used.

Several mounting options

Mount on concrete, steel structure, steel decking or suspend by cables, depending on the surface and ceiling height.

Safety

Mechanical assembly uses the connectors supplied. Plug-in or hardwired installation (hardwiring by a licensed electrician, per NEC and local codes). Turn off power at the breaker first.

05

Standards & compliance

CE & RoHS

The range meets the applicable European requirements listed in the manufacturer's technical documentation.

CRI Ra > 80

An index suited to workspaces that need consistent color rendering and good detail perception.

Project sizing

The illuminance achieved depends on the area, the number of modules, the mounting height and the room environment.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install the kit myself?

Yes, mechanical assembly is done with the connectors supplied. Plug-in installation is straightforward; any hardwiring must be done by a licensed electrician, per NEC and local codes.

How many hexagons do I need for my space?

Allow about 1 hexagon per 16 sq ft (1.5 m²) for task lighting. Our calculator gives you a recommendation based on your area, your use and your ceiling height.

Is a single kit enough for a large room?

Beyond the area covered by one panel, several identical kits can be installed side by side to keep the light even.

Is it dimmable?

It depends on the model. Some kits come in a dimmable version or with three color temperatures. Check the product page of the kit you're interested in.

Is there trade pricing?

Yes. For volume orders and professional projects, request your custom quote from the trade area .
