RGB or white: which technology to choose?

Our color hexagonal kits use RGB technology: millions of shades for mood lighting and staging. For task lighting, the white range remains the reference.

How many hexagons for my space?

We size by area and by use, just like the white range. Rule of thumb: about 1 hexagon per 16–22 sq ft (1.5–2 m²) for mood lighting. Beyond one kit, combine several kits.

The kit shape (triangle, cluster, column) depends on the shape of the room: a column follows the axis of a vehicle in a narrow bay, a square cluster covers a space that is wider than it is deep.

Color, brightness and mode changes at your fingertips.

Mobile app

On connected models: color and brightness set independently from your smartphone. The product page states whether the kit is compatible.

Lighting modes

Solid color, gradient, automatic transition and, depending on the model, music sync: the light follows the sound in the room.

Installation

Modular system

The tubes plug into the connectors supplied, with no special tools. The geometry adapts to the ceiling as well as the wall.

Wall, ceiling or suspended

Mount directly on the ceiling, on the wall as a backdrop, or suspend by cables depending on the surface and height. The accessories included are listed on each product page.

Safety

Mechanical assembly uses the parts supplied. Plug-in or hardwired installation (hardwiring by a licensed electrician, per NEC and local codes). Turn off power at the breaker first.

Can you work under RGB lighting?

An RGB kit is designed for mood lighting and staging, not for task lighting. For working, choose the white range.

Can an RGB kit produce white?

Yes, but it's a white produced by mixing colors: fine for mood lighting, not for working. For a powerful, neutral white, in bodywork or detailing for example, choose the white range, alone or paired with an RGB kit as an accent.

Do I need an app to use it?

No. A remote control is included. Some models can also be controlled from a mobile app: this is stated on the product page.

Can several kits be combined?

Yes. Several kits can be installed side by side to cover a large area or create a custom shape. Contact us to check the power supply for a large installation.
